I am a computer Science Bachelor Major. I worked in the Computer technology industry(QA) for 4 years. I took a career break for my kids and it is 1.5 years now. I want to get back to my career and am looking to go to graduate school to major in Accounting (MAcc or M.S.)and further take CPA.I do not want to continue in Computers. I live in New York.

I have the foll. questions:

Do colleges admit non-accounting/finance majors in the accounting course?
Will it be hard for me to cope up?
Is this a good career move? Are there many career options? If not accounting, what else can I consider?
How long will it take me to complete the course?

Please provide me with your valuable responses.
Thanks to all.
