<p>Son got into School of Design! He knows of 3 others from his Pre-C program who also made it into SoD. Online has his acceptance letter - dated Dec 13 - but nothing in our mail today. I’ll see what the postmark is when it gets here.</p>

<p>That always drives me crazy when people say that. For these highly selective schools, especially for colleges in CMU like SCS, it’s not a reflection of your fit. It’s a reflection of too many applicants for far too few slots. They don’t turn you down because you’re not a good fit, it’s because there just aren’t enough spots for all the incredible applicants they get.</p>

<p>That is true. The main message behind the “fit” statements is probably something along the lines of: If someone was rejected, it’s probably not their fault.</p>
