Accepted into CIT!
Son got same message (as others have noted) about being wait-listed for all CIT majors except ECE which was first choice, possibility of priority wait list. Must ponder this.
Congrats to all who were accepted! And sorry for all who were not.
Accepted into CFA for architecture!
My son was rejected SCS, MCS. Seriously, this college process is brutal. It’s a good thing he’s resilient and has a few good choices. Watching this play out, as a parent, is really tough. Kudos to the all the talented kids who keep plowing through the WLs and rejections in stride and are happy with the choices they have. This was not your parents’ college landscape 35 years ago . . .
Rejected from SCS
Accepted to both choices! Mellon and Dietrich!
We were able to log in finally. My son got into his first choice SCS! Interestingly second choice CIT says ‘Cancel’.

Weaknesses: Subject tests, supplemental essay, EC’s
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Very typical applicant for engineering + I had a weak chemistry subject test. Oh and my SAT score was pretty bad. Maybe my EC’s as well?

General Comments/Advice/Hindsight:
I’m not too beat up about this - CMU is a great school, but isn’t really what I want. HOPEFULLY I’ll get into one of the Ivies on Tuesday and then I won’t have to worry about this, but if not, maybe CMU will end up letting me in. Who knows? Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
For those of us that are waitlisted, do we now have to submit the FA documents for Entrance Counseling, Promissory Note, etc.?

Does anyone know of any admitted student events, esp. for the school of art/college of fine arts?
If I’m admitted to both Dietrich and Mellon but did not receive invitation for the Science and Humanities Scholars, does that mean I can only apply during my freshman year?
Son waitlisted SCS, CIT, MCS
What frustrates him and us, also waitlisted to Caltech CS and UC Berkeley CS…
What is going on?
Congrats to all accepted!
I’m also curious about when the admitted students events are, if there are any (which I think there would be).
