Mismanaged how? They’re doing what they said they would do. The email said “Admission decisions will begin releasing Friday, March 15.” with a link to a video. The caption on the video said “…admission decisions for Fall 2024 will begin to release on Friday, March 15, 2024! Students are asked to keep an eye on their email for more details, as decisions will continue to be released throughout March.”
I agree it’s frustrating but it’s a stretch to say this is mismanaged. They set expectations and are delivering what they said they would.

When you get deferred in ED, you’re put into the RD pool with no further priority than everyone else in RD. That’s as it should be, IMO (and my D has been deferred from another school as well so I know how annoying it is to be deferred). Applying ED/EA gives you an early chance at a yes or rejection but doesn’t (and shouldn’t) guarantee any more special treatment than that. You pay the same application fee as everyone else.

I don’t think it means anything because I went to safari, where I’m not logged into CMU, and I could paste the link and it worked.

Yes it takes his login and lets him schedule a day (although he did not hit final “submit” button). Hmmm. Probably a glitch. (He has no info on admission yet… CS in Dietrich).
