No update for me too. If I think about the conversation, why do they have wait for the phones to stop ringing? Are they going to load the decisions manually?

Iām assuming they, like many school offices, donāt want people all trying to call immediately to complain/ beg etc.

Well, unless I was hallucinating, I thought I heard that when I called and spoke to the nice lady at the undergrad admissions office.

So maybe grace period and then release around 5:30-6?

so people will call the admission office and complain if they donāt get accepted right away? so people wonāt call now as they handle this like a mess?

I contacted the admissions over chat, a little while ago. They said some would be released eod after 5 pm est. They will continue releasing in waves over the next few days

I read in a thread related to a different school that that university always waited until after 5:00 pm (on a Friday, no less) to release decisions as they would receive a flood of calls from candidates or their families with questions about the results. They wanted to issue the decisions and then skedaddle before the phones began ringing off the hook. Donāt know whether that is also the reason behind CMUās 5:00 pm release time.

If there is any silver lining of this process, its stuff like that
