At this point, is there a consensus that if you couldn’t register for the Tarten/Admitted Students day, then it is a likely rejection?

At this point, my expectation from CMU tech is so low that nothing is concrete until you actually see the result.

I think it just means that the decision is not loaded in your portal.

Well this doesn’t match the “release Friday at 5:00” messages. I just wish there was one message going out.

They’re trying to minimize load on their servers. Sending a message out would cause everybody to refresh their portal and crash the servers.
Son withdrew application, sent email last night. They didn’t respond

I didn’t know he was being serious about it… since they haven’t responded, maybe is it not too late to reconsider?
Nah he’s got a mind of his own. It wasn’t one of his top choices and he thought it would be better to opt out now that he’s received offers elsewhere.

Just wanted to post that DS24 got his Congratulations email today. I am guessing this email should have gone out on Friday. It has a link to the portal and a link to sign up for admitted students day.
They seem to be fixing the things that went wrong at a steady place.

I’m sad that the fractured roll-out of admission decisions soured your DS on the CMU program, although I’m glad to hear that he has other great options. Best wishes to your son and your family!
