Carnegie Mellon Class of 2028 Official Thread

No response at all. Nothing in portal, but did accept waitlist.

No waitlist is binding, it’s always Plan B. Proceed with your Plan A. If waitlist turns into admission, you will be able to change your decision at the cost of the deposit you’ve already paid for the Plan A.

Have you heard anything yet regarding the decision?

Any news about how many they have waitlisted this year ?

No official stats yet, but reddit folks believe the majority RD was.

I would assume it would be similar to past years.

The years with the biggest movement surrounded Covid.

Is anyone else still waiting on a decision? Fine Arts - still nothing

You’d better call/email the admission offices at both levels.

Yes. (well, nephew & friend). Film & architecture.

Yes, still received nothing regarding admission for Design major

Apparently a new round came out in the last hour. Has anyone received a decision?

Still nothing

Finally got the deets. 2k/year merit offer at
School of design. Which is a nice thing, feels nice but not a reason to go of course. Not a need based offer

Congrats! Did you get the notice today?
$2k is nice, at least something to compensate for the waiting.
I hope they won’t turn down students any more after keeping them waiting for so long

This is a relative of mine. Came with initial acceptance letter on 3/25. Did not get full details until now.

Yes, it was in the portal under “decision letter.” So have your son or daughter click on same link that they clicked on for initial decision, and there will be a second letter there verifying placement on waitlist. My son accidentally came upon it. He never received an email about a new “decision letter” in his portal.
