My D is applying for fall 2025 (Out of state) for neuroscience major at Carnegie Mellon , after a gap year
unweighted GPA - 3.92
SAT- 1550
EC’s - Worked with the Local Parkinson’s society on a origami Tulip project to raise awareness on Parkinson’s
Actively participated in health fairs, teaching Parkinson’s patients origami and performing piano music
Did a research internship at a university with a professor in neuroscience dept for 2 months
Applying for the early decision, any input on what the chances are out of state admission would be helpful

Has any one received portal access email for ED fall 2025?
I have not. I asked the admissions office today and it has not gone out yet.
Waiting for portal access email. Just emailed the admissions office.
Did you also submit the SAT scores via college board or did you self report those scores?
My Son did both (self report and college board), CMU says scores never required, and we still don’t see response to application (is it under review? or need more info), not sure what is going on.

My son received the portal email last Thu.
We heard that the ED decisions will start getting released at 5 pm tonight and will continue through end of Sunday.
My son received an email today (12.13.2024) that the ED admission decision is now available via the portal.
