I am Junior in High School and i’m wondering my chances of getting into Carnegie Mellon, Emory or Berkley. I know they are tough schools so I want to know if I should bother applying.
I am a white german jewish female from upstate NY and I attend the 27th best hs in the country
I have a 3.8 GPA uw and by the end of high school I will have taken 7 honors and 2 APs and 10 academic electives
My SATs were a 2010 and ACTs a 29
During hs I was student council class rep, Historian twice, and Vice President
I will have been a member of pep club for 4 years and treasurer for 1
I will have been a member of key club for 4 years
I will have been a member of youth court for 4 years
I will have been a member of my temples youth groups for 5 years and on board for 2
I will have been a member of the national federation of temple youth for 4 years and a temple rep for 2
I should have around 200 hours of community service
I will have been a CIT at a summer camp for one year and a counselor for one
I will have been on the softball team for 5 years and captain twice
I will have been on the volleyball team 4 times and captain twice
I will have been on a travel volleyball team for 4 years and captain 3 times
And I played freshmen basketball for a year
I am in National Honors Society and will have done a 40 hour communications internship
I also spent my second semester of junior year on Nfty EIE an international experience where i spent 4 months attending an American high school in Israel with kids from all around the world where I learned to speak hebrew, about jewish culture, and traveled around Israel and Europe, my essay will be on this.
