hey guys, i was looking htrough my high school college admissions status for last year’s senior and i realized that carnegie mellon accepted way more than usual last year…people up to 82 averages got accepted. why do you think is the reason for that? i thought it was extremely odd. is carnegie mellon always this easy? up to thrity people were accepted to CMU in my school. by the way, these seniors go to stuyvesant hs.

from known high schools like that they take students further down the list than they would at a normal school.

Go to phillips academy (sp?). You have 100% chance of getting into the top 25 college. (well, almost)

lol well I can understand why they’d like stuy students. and 30 out of 700 isn’t that amazing.
My counselor put CM as a safety for me but I didn’t end up applying

well Stuy is a specialized science school, so it’s understandable they would take more people from it.
