I’m currently a transfer student applying to Dietrich Cognitive Science (entering as a sophomore). Suppose I got admitted this year, how hard is it to again apply for an internal transfer to CoE ECE? Does anyone with similar experiences or know some recent stats about this? Thanks!
IMO, if you are applying to get in, just apply to the major you really want. Most private schools do not care or limit your selection or admit by major.
I know a few kids who apply to “lessor” majors with intention to change after, and they don’t get in because at least for Carnegie Mellon, the essays ask why this and why us. Very hard to compose a genuine response when you are already thinking about changing major after admittance.
