@ak2018 should I call? It seems like a lot of people are and I don’t want to annoy them…cries I want to know so badly but I’m pretty sure I didn’t get it
@malfoy7 At this point, since decisions will be coming out in waves starting Monday, there is no point in calling about them.
Will I get an email to know if they received all of my supplemental materials?
@rlee01 No. Once you upload everything, you should be good. You can email them for confirmation.
Will the email tell if you are accepted or they will ask you to log in to your portal.
the app is due the 15 how are you guys getting reults back??
@Youngmis123 I’m not 100% sure what will happen this year, but if it’s based off of last year, an email will tell you that you have been accepted.
@anonymous522083 Since the app is also rolling-admissions based, it is recommended that applicants complete their apps sooner, rather than later. Everyone’s applications will be looked at, but submitting earlier does have its advantages in this case.
Okay thank you. By the way, have you figured out what major/career you want to pursue? I feel like nobody asks anything about you haha.
@rlee01 Yeah, it’s alright! :)) I’m planning on pursuing Mechanical/Robotics Engineering and a potential minor in Computer Science.
oh dang nice!! What would you say helped you figure out what you wanted to do?
@rlee01 I joined the Robotics team in middle school and by the 8th grade, I knew I wanted to do something in engineering. I wanted to go into mechanical soon after.
Wow I admire your commitment and I wish you the best of luck in your future goals!!
Hello, I haven’t turned in my entire app yet(woops). Could someone look at my resume? Thanks!
The waiting is killing me!! Can’t wait to recieve word!! Anyone else dying from waiting?? :(( Hoping they send out e-mails in the next couple days. Wishing all of you luck, hopefully in a few days time we will all be writing on this thread congratulations to all of us
@CoolChem I could give it a look.
I turn in everything by the first week of January. I didn´t know that we need to upload our PSAT score reports. I self reported myself with the application that I turn in in December. Would they still give my decision early?
@Youngmis123 You should be okay and you’ll receive some form of decision by April 15th.
Would that lowered my chances of getting in because it is on a first come first serve basis
No, it is on a rolling-admissions basis. Everyone’s applications will be looked at, however, those who do turn it earlier do have a slight advantage of being looked at longer. As with any rolling-based decision school, the sooner you apply, the less competition you’ll have. Also, since applications could have been turned in as soon as early November, you would have the ability to submit new information (i.e. updated test scores/mid-year transcripts that show growth) and have them look at it at a time when they are not bombarded with emails. This alone could permit the possibility of a quick second-chance review with the new info added, since you would have submitted info that may be out of date. Overall, your chances will not be lowered if you apply later than sooner. For example, a girl I know who was accepted to SAMS turned in her app last minute. I also submitted my app in January as well. In reality, turning the app in early has its advantages, but ultimately, it can only help you so much. @Youngmis123
Hi! I was wondering, for the activities resume do we write the different activities in paragraph format, where we describe in detail what we do? Or do we just list things out?
