Btw is SAMS only for rising seniors?
@bhoangluu: You should be fine. As long as you gave them a number then that is all that matters. They only need a score report if you are admitted to make sure that you did not falsify your test scores.
@galaxym: Yes, SAMS is only for rising seniors. However, a few years ago it was open to rising juniors as well.
@therealestkevin: The goal of the SAMS program is to diversify the stem field and help prepare minorities, females, and people of other unique/atypical backgrounds to enter a field that has historically been homogeneous in its makeup. SAMS has nothing to do with affirmative action; they will admit an Asian student that would be in greater need of their program than an African American student who doesn’t exhibit the need for it at all.
How do we know that you are accepted or not accepted? Do they send email to let you know that you are not accepted.
If anyone has heard back as of 2018, please notify me on here that would be very helpful.
Hey FreePariah. I submitted all my stuff on the due dates. Do I still have a chance in getting in?
@sams2018: The only way to know for sure if you were accepted or not is through the email you will eventually receive from the program.
@zanabou: I did the same thing last year and was accepted.
Just got an email saying I was accepted into the SAMS program.
Congrats! I beleive this is the first official email!!!
I got an acceptance letter today too!
Congratulations!! That’s awesome that you guys got in, how early did you finish your applications?
If I didn’t get an email am I not accepted?
Congrats to those who were accepted into SAMS!
I chose Pre-College AI as my first choice and SAMS as second. Does anyone know when it comes out?
I submitted my application around February 14th. I’ve had my all of my additional documents in since the 26th except my recommendation which I only got in 2 days ago.
I submitted my application on the last week of January and turned in all my supplementary materials by the first week of February
I got my email today and I’ve been accepted into AP/EA!
@GlitterStar100: Admissions are rolling, so those who are already accepted probably applied much earlier than you did. You should get an email if you are rejected.
Plz notify if anyone get accepted to AI, I feel like AI is pretty competitive although it’s the first year
@CSman12 @mathnerd101 would you guys mind sharing stats? Congrats by the way! (lowkey jealous of you guys haha)
For all the alumni of AP/EA, I wanted to ask how the experience was for you. Being accepted (with a cost waiver thankfully), I’m just unsure of what to expect, especially as a lot seem to be focusing on SAMS.
