I’m on the directory but I haven’t received an email. I called them today and she said I’m still under review. Any explanation for this?
How long have you been on the directory?
I’m not sure when my name started to be on the directory but I first checked 2 days ago and it was thers
I applied to the AI program in March and I’m not on the directory… does that mean I didn’t get in?
@pandasnake123 if you checked that long ago and you were there and you still have no acceptance letter then I thinkg you are probably waitlisted. That being said, this info is only based on the fact that I got my email very shortly after I got on the directory.
What day of the week did you receive your email
has anyone gotten accepted into AI yet?
General consensus is that AI applications haven’t been processed yet. There are no acceptances or rejections. This suggests that AI4All, a sponsor, may be in charge of the admissions process and not CMU. Total speculation on my part
@MyGPAIsAnL @plp000 I called them and they said that AI program applicants should contact Jonathan Reynolds at jreynold@andrew.cmu.edu or (412) 268-8201 if they have any questions as it is not a part of SAMS. Also, AI students might not even show up in the directory, so that’s a possibility. I would like to note that the AI program, unlike the rest of the pre-college, has not denoted a date upon which they will release decisions. It can be assumed that they will most likely release all of the AI decisions on one day.
@pandasnake123 It’s possible that they are reviewing your app again so that they are in agreement that they want to accept you.
@ak2018 when is the pre-college release date
it’s on some sort of rolling basis
@pandasnake123 @plp000 There is no set date as decisions are sent on “rolling basis” to some degree.
I emailed admission@andrew.cmu.edu to include a updated letter of my resume April 5, but they haven’t got back to me yet. Is this normal?
I can’t wait any longer in what order do they view the applications because my friend at my school got in and I still haven’t . This is because we turned it in at the same time.
@MyGPAIsAnL It is. You can call them to confirm that they got it. They might not have the time to reply to every email.
@anonymous522083 It might mean that they are either still reviewing your application or you are on a waitlist. They review it in order of when they receive your application and supplement materials. Usually, they will review a student multiple times to make sure that they want to accept him/her. Your friend likely submitted an application that they really liked to the point where they felt they had to accept them.
Where is the directory for SAMS?
My friend JUST popped up in the directory, and he applied last minute. Stay strong, good luck guys!
@Hermalez which program?
@MyGPAIsAnL SAMS only
