I was just about to give up when the email pops up. Based on what I read from other source, the WL is ranked and they might just be going through the pre-determined list.

@stn123 I also received a grant covering over half of the total cost and was concerned yesterday as well. No idea on school of design but there are still some spots at Engineering.
From my prior read of other source that WL is ranked and they might be going through a pre-determined list. If one just wants to attend CMU above all and is willing to pay full cost, it may not hurt to at least let the school know.
Their common data set says that the waitlist is not ranked.
Anyone got news for Tepper? How many spots left in Tepper school of business? I feel like everybody haven gotten off the waitlist for Tepper already

They’re not telling anyone about the number of spots left for Dietrich. I still haven’t heard of anyone getting of Dietrich WL.
@mm3047 I read a post (Not CC) from someone (stated as a graduate student at CMU) that it is ranked. The post was dated within a year or two. I think it makes sense they rank the PWL on certain bases. I was put on another school’s WL and the school clearly stated that it is not ranked in the decision letter.
@mm3047 exactly. Could they have met their enrolment goals already?
That’s a possibility and I’d be really disappointed if it was. If it is they should just tell us so we can move on.

I don’t think they will let us know even it’s full. We will just get pushed to regular waitlist which comes out later in the summer.
If I don’t get off the priority WL I’m just going to assume that I’m not getting in at all and make my housing deposit at my other school.
Honestly its unfair if they keep pushing us off if Dietrich is full… Its just getting really weird how not there is no news on Dietrich and they are willing to give stats on all the other schools.
