Carnegie Mellon VS. Boston University

I’m having a tough time deciding which university to attend…
My intended major is International Business.
Although I was admitted to BU’s Questrom School of Business for Int’l Business, I was admitted into Carnegie’s Dietrich School for Modern Languages.
Obviously Carnegie has a better name in terms of school and I was offered ~6k more in grants to attend. However, I really don’t like the idea of going to school in Pittsburgh vs. going to school in Boston where the culture is thriving and there’s so much more diversity and undergraduate student population.
At BU, I’m admitted into the Business School with the major I wanted and the city is my style entirely.

Please help me decide!

Carnegie Mellon’s reputation is mainly for STEM, which you wouldn’t be studying.

It sounds like you’ve made up your mind.

While CMU arguably has a bit of an edge in “prestige”, BU matches what you’ll actually be focusing on (international business) better than CMU. And in the end, that’s what matters more.
Plus, for international business opportunities, Boston >> Pittsburgh.
And you would prefer to live in Boston.
So, don’t worry about prestige rankings, and go with BU.

In most other cases I would say go CMU, but since you want to study international business and you like Boston much more than I think BU is a better fit for you.
