<p>My daughter is in the 7th grade and is interested in applying for the Caroline Bradley award. She’s taken the ACT through Duke TIP and I called and was told it would substitute for the SAT. Her scores were great, I think. Composite was a 21 with Reading a 26. She’s a great student and a hard worker. She’s not highly gifted or a super wiz kid. She’s a well-above average student who wants to better herself. She attends the only magnet school in our parish (county). She is concerned because she’s got a couple B’s on her report card this 9 weeks. The grades are all 90’s and above - does anyone know the GPA the scholarship requires you to keep during high school. I know the students awarded must sign a contract. I just wanted to calm her nerves. I know it’s a very difficult award to get - but, I want her to believe she has a chance to win and I don’t want her frustrated due to a couple of lower than usual grades. Thanks!!</p>
