Caroline Wozniacki

I’m probably the only ridiculous hardcore tennis fan on here, but during Pilot penn caroline wozniacki (WTA world number 4) said she might apply to yale for class of 2014! THATS RIDICULOUS. now that makes me want to get in even more lol

Really?!! I thought she was older… Not hardcore fan, but i can certainly become one… if she’s not an airhead.

^lol I dont think shes an airhead. her english is pretty good, but she doesnt seem like a genius. although she does speak several (I think 4-5) languages.
yeah i think shes 19 but then again so is emma watson lol

found the quote:

“I like New York. It’s a great city and it’s not too far from Europe either.”

oh, you know there’s just the atlantic (that bit of water) in between them
but nbd

lol

^ haha ikr? but i guess she meant as in comparison to maybe LA?

HAHAHAHA you know those pro athletes, they can just swim across oceans in no time. but yeah I’m sure she meant in comparison to west coast. oh caro.

Does she know that Yale isn’t in New York?

And does she know that Yale doesn’t give undergraduate degrees in “business and management”, and that you can’t “study mostly online”?

@Christiansoldier- yeah her and her dad thought it would be a good place to train+go to school

@Booklady- lol she’s a teenage millionaire european tennis player…she doesnt know much except about tennis xD but I thought that’s what eli whitney was for?

seems pointless to me…why go to yale if you’re not going to GO to yale

The Eli Whitney Students Program is for students of non-traditional background at Yale. I’ve met several of them during my years at Yale and they are extremely accomplished and smart. The standards of admission are the same for the program as for other Yale College applicants. Last year about 6% were accepted. Also, she’s 19 so she’d have to apply to as a regular freshmen applicant (Eli Whitney only takes 21+). She’d be a better applicant for Harvard extension or Columbia General Studies where the standards aren’t as high and the program is much more flexible for part-timers. Honestly, I don’t think she stands a chance getting into Yale.

The Eli Whitney Students Program is simply an admissions program into Yale College. Once you’re in, you’re a full-blooded Yalie:

I think being ranked in the top ten female tennis players in the world is a decent hook.

Maybe. What do I know about her? Perhaps she is also really smart book-wise. I’m just saying that she will have to deliver more than just a top athletic hook, all though it is impressive on it’s own.

If she actulaly went to Yale undergrad, I’d be excited. She’s hot.

That’s rather cool. I would want to, if I were to be given the privilege of attending Yale, play her in a tennis match just to see if I could win one game :P.

^she’s a counterpuncher, which means she’s not going to kill you with, say, serena’s fast serve and winners. the more aggressive caro’s opponent is, the more likely they are to make mistakes, and the more likely for her to score points. she hits like 6 winners per set. so boring -.-

NYC is only ~6 hours from London, which is the gateway to most of Europe (LHR is Europe’s biggest airport). So it really isn’t that far. Comparable to driving from NYC to Vermont. I have family in Germany and it really isn’t so bad to get over there. It’s not great, but it certainly isn’t a deterrent to the point of not going.

Yeah but she’s hot so who cares lol. Anyways, this reminds me of the Emma Watson situation. I doubt we would see Wozniacki on campus assuming she got in, so it’s nothing more than just idle chatter here.

Emma Watson is prettier than Wozniacki imo :]

^really? i think caroline’s prettier. emma looks sickly
