CAS 100 or WRT 105

I’m trying, in a rather last-minute fashion, to decide which courses I should take and I was wondering, which is better? First Year Seminar (CAS 100) or Studio 1: Practices of Academic Writing (WRT105) ???

please help?!?!?

I never had to take either, but from what I’ve heard, I’d say avoid wrt courses at all costs.

Take CAS 100 with William Robert. You’ll love it.

I took CAS 100- iPod Politics. I learned a lot about technological writing, but I don’t totally know if I would recommend it.

I am in the Engineering School at SU, but I got placed in the CAS 100 (still don’t know why). The school, from what I understand is placing certain students in to the CAS 100 classes and some into the WRT 105 classes. It’s kind of an experiment to see which one is better or if there is a difference.

The CAS 100 classes each have a different name, for example mine was iPod Politics. You can look up this name on Myslice. I don’t know if people have written anything on Ratemyclass.com or not, but usually you can look up what people thought about the class.

Also, I noticed that all the people who took CAS 100 classes didn’t discuss the required reading that was assigned the previous summer. That was kind of nice. Either class requires a lot of reading and writing, however.
