Do people think that everyone will be informed when they start reaching out to students on the list? Or only those students who get contacted?

Has anyone gotten an admission offer off of the waitlist yet?
No, I don’t think so. People would’ve posted sth on reddit if they had started the process. Georgia Tech offered early acceptances from the WL though.
@HKimPOSSIBLE According to my counselor, the earliest that the WL will be contacted is next week, and most schools contact in the beginning of May.
Ah okay that sounds good - I only say because in their first waitlist email they said historically they have offered waitlists since April 15th…looks like maybe this year might have a higher yield than expected.
From our CWRU Waitlist FAQ:
- When would I hear if I am accepted off the waitlist?
Starting April 15, but offers are often extended in the final week of April and throughout the month of May.
@bopper Case’s acceptance rate has been going down every year. Last year it was 29% with no one coming off the waitlist. This year the rate was apparently even lower.
@firstkidtogo it’s probably lower because they intentionally admitted less, because of last year’s over enrollment. Plus they didn’t want a billion Bio or engineering majors
If there is no one coming off the waitlist, that means that more admitted students are enrolling than thought as Case becomes more popular…they will adjust that ratio in future years.

@naruto7180 are you gonna commit to that option? Also did you update that on the waitlist check 5, or did you do that in the first waitlist check itself.

I probably wont commit to the spring option until the last minute, so that I can wait to see if I can get into the fall semester.
I only updated that I was interested in the spring semester option on wait list check #5. Additionally, I don’t know how many they took in, but based on the people who posted on the other thread, about 5.
