  • Conclusion - I'd say my essays aren't so Hemingway nor are they Camus. They're straightforward (except for some of the interesting prompts) and I don't try to weave in too many metaphors that can confuse AO - I've changed my tone to be completely genuine as possible. So I'd say around a 7/10?

Letters of Recommendations…I have asked my AP Lang (and this year, also my Lit teacher) for recommendations. She’s also very genuine and she really works hard on trying to capture who we are as learners.
AP Chemistry teacher (who I am an assistant teacher as a Senior) we get along really well and I’m really thankful for the opportunities she’s given me as essentially a TA. I’d say around a 9/10 for Recommendations.

I guess thanks for being my magic 8 ball! (This is my second one copy/pasted but I wanted a chance me just for these schools). I understand that chance me’s are a total miss haha but based on whatever experiences you have with kids who got accepted to these schools, I’d appreciate your thoughts!

Listen bud, you’ve posted the same things like 10 different times… You’re a great candidate, I’m positive you’ll get into at least one of the schools you applied to.

Don’t worry about colleges until the day the decisions come out. That means getting off of CC and Reddit and other platforms. I can tell you’re worried about your future, and that’s good.

However, just do yourself a favor and relax. Just because you don’t get into a “good college” doesn’t mean your life is over.

Enjoy the rest of high school for once; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and you wouldn’t want to fret about colleges, do you?

@HKimPOSSIBLE

If you’ve already applied you’ll know in just a few short weeks. Best of luck.

All are reaches. Mostly high reaches. CWRU is a high Match/low reach.

If I am looking into a crystal ball as you ask, depending on your writing being excellent —you’ll receive 2 acceptances, 1 WL and 2 rejections.

You have a wonderful profile and a spectacular ACT. Strong SAT. Strong, but not top of the class grades. Great back story. Pell grant eligible and first gen. Both very helpful in 2019.

I hope I am wrong. And all say yes to a great young student like you. And it can happen.

If it doesn’t work out for you and you decide to GAP. Work to make some money and apply to Georgetown, if you have any interest in SFS, even if you don’t. They seem to love language prowess and you are off the charts.

@nomansland D; I’ll get off CC and A2C

Wow, very impressive. I don’t know what the future holds for you, but I wish you the best. Please post here what ends up happening.

Thanks and I definitely will! At this point, my attention has moved from all the “Top 20” colleges to Case Western and I’m just really eager to see my CWRU decision.

Are you a junior or senior? You look great. Tough schools but you have as good a shot as any! Good luck!

I’m currently a Senior. I’m all applied now and just playing the waiting game.
