I am curious about how the remains were described as “skeletal”. If they were skeletal, it’s doubtful that the mouth would have been duct taped shut.

Apparently – as that’s all we hear about in Orlando – the skull had duct tape about it as though it covered the mouth. Not sure how that’s possible either, but that’s what they are saying. Police and FBI have also removed 3 vehicles worth of stuff from the Anthony’s house last night, including, it sounds like, every vacuum cleaner in the house and garage.

zebes

Perhaps the duct tape preserved the flesh underneath it while the exposed flesh decomposed. This could explain why duct tape could still be attached to the mouth area.

If they do not find Casey’s fingerprints on the tape and other paraphenalia, and the body is that of Caylee, the authorities are going to be in a quandry.

I wonder if cause of death can be found after all of this time. I don’t think that Casey deliberately killed her child, but was grossly negligent and contributed to her death or accidentally killed the little girl. She was then pathological enough to just push the incident from her mind and continue on her pleasure trail. Frightening that such people exist. I have a lot of sympathy for her parents. I am sure that they are devastated.

Why would she be using her computer to do searches on chloroform and broken necks unless she deliberately killed Casey?

And if it was an accident, would one expect that she would have been partying afterward?

I remember the Trenton Duckett story, too…never found…so sad. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Casey’s parents. They utterly indulged her. She had a baby out of wedlock, they basically raised Caylee, while Casey’s off running around with her own car and no employment. What a life! Where are the expectations? Raise the bar!

I’ve looked up some things after reading crime stories. I just looked up chloroform so I had better hope nothing comes up that can lead to that being an issue.

I had heard of parents who give their kids benadryl to have them sleepy, asleep or out of it when it is miserable to have a wired kid around. That is a not a good idea. I can see a party animal like Casey feeling the need to dope up her daughter while she was out.

cpt, isn’t ordering chloroform, or making it at home just a little bit strange? Who does that? She really went out of her way to get her two year old doped up for “party time”, if that is what she did.

"
ORLANDO, Florida (CNN) – A corpse has been tentatively identified as missing toddler Caylee Anthony’s, attorneys for her mother told a Florida judge on Friday.

Caylee Anthony, 3, has been missing since June in a case that has received national attention.

Lawyer Linda Kenney Baden said in court that investigators said they “were proceeding as if this were little Caylee Anthony.”

Strands of hair found with the remains, discovered Thursday a half mile from the home of Caylee’s grandparents, are the same color as the girl’s, the lawyer said. The age and measurements also were a match for Caylee, Baden added. …"

NSM, it is strange. The whole set up is strange. It seems to me that the easiest solution is that Casey accidently killed her daughter, and then got rid of the body, and went right on partying. Until her mother called the authorities, she refused to even think about the situation. The girl is a pathological liar and has no conscience, it seems. Her parents have no idea how to handle her. But they do love her and are hurting terribly, I’m sure.

I don’t know if we’ll ever get the full story about what happened to Caylee Anthony because Casey is not to believed. Not a word comes out of her mouth that is the truth.

Now I’m reading that there was something in that bag with her remains that they somehow need to verify that it came from her house. Her grandparents are on Larry King again tonight.

Someone at work today said that Casey wanted to give the baby up for adoption, but her parents refused to let her, and insisted she keep the baby. Has anyone else heard this?

over30, yes I heard this while watching a tv show, but I don’t recall which one.

It makes me so sad to think of all of the childless or infertile couples that want so much to have a baby when monsters like Casey Anthony dispose of heir babies like they are trash

I think there is something seriously wrong with Casey Anthony. Not just because of this incident, either. She has been a problem for a very long time.

I think they already have a cell reserved for her next to Scott Peterson.

Give Nancy Grace credit. I don’t watch her show but it seemed like every time I surfed past it she was covering this story, every day since July.

They talked about her wanting to give the baby up last night on the show preceding Nancy Grace…Jane Velez Mitchell I think. Her infertile friend wanted the baby and the grandmother told Casey that she wouldn’t allow it. (as if it were her choice??) I agree with cptofthehouse that a girl like Casey just doesn’t start being that way at 22. She must have had problems for years…lying, stealing, etc. Nobody mentions that, though.

I even heard someone mention drugs and alcohol problems last night. We’ll be learning a lot more about Casey’s past. Then we’ll see how people view the grandparents. If they really wanted the best for Caylee, they could have adopted her or let someone else adopt her.

If you live in central florida, you’ve heard ad nauseum hours about casey. You can’t avoid it. Every local nightly newscast has begun with it for months. They’ve done tons of hours on the years of lying: friends she stole from, her family she’s stole from, friends she’s lied to … etc. In fact the first charges brought against her were theft charges – check stealing, I believe.

zebes

She’s a self-centered pathological liar who has an attitude that she’s better than everyone else. A thief, a liar, and a killer.
