I feel sorry for Casey’s infertile friend who had wanted to adopt Caylee.

To think that she would probably be alive and thriving if her friend did adopt Caylee.

Unfortunately, I think Scott Peterson, as sick as his mind is, had the fortitude to cover any possible traces that would pin him to the crime. I doubt Stacy’s body will ever be found. Obviously he came from a career where he knew exactly what accusations he would face, and already had his answers prepared. Casey was a young, disturbed 22-year old.

teri, Scott Peterson is on death row at San Quentin. Laci’s body was found. I believe you’re thinking of Drew Peterson.

oops… my bad; yes, I’m thinking of Drew.

So now that they’ve identified that the skeletel remains are Caylee’s, the grandparents STILL don’t think their daughter had anything to do with it, even though it was a place where she used to go smoke with her friends after school? A place she was famliar with? I understand parental loyalty but this is ridiculous.

dke, Who knows how they truly feel? I think that they are trying to help with the defense of their daughter. As to whether they honestly believe what is reported in the media is another story.

Did I hear this right? The utility worker ,who called in the discovery of the remains, had called three times back in August to report a suspicious bag in the woods? So it wasn’t under water since August? Did he just decide to open it? How is it that no one else found the remains during those 4 months? All of this seems very odd to me.

toledo, it seems too odd for him to be just a “concerned citizen”. I wonder if he is being looked at more than just a cooperative citizen.

I don’t think anyone else has revitalized this topic. I am shocked at the allegations Casey Anthony is making against her father. I don’t believe a word she says. What a whopper of a defense.

I was shocked at the many flat-out ridiculous lies she told when this tragedy first occurred - inventing a babysitter, inventing a job, inventing reasons why she never went to the police. I don’t know what a defense lawyer does to convince a jury that a defendant with such a history of egregious lying is really telling the truth when she’s under oath.

I have no idea whether or not her father ever did molest her, though I strongly suspect he did not. I would never believe that he did simply because she said so, of course. And if she said so simply to try to save her neck, she’s even more disgusting than I thought she was.

She is a foul, vile, pitiful excuse for a mother, in my opinion. I believe she is guilty. If the child died accidentally, why was there duct tape over her head?

I don’t know, having sat on two criminal juries, one of them a murder trial, I am withholding judgement. Stranger things have occurred.

I am amazed that they could find people unbiased enough (or even seemingly unbiased enough) to be on the jury – even though they come from Clearwater instead of Orlando.

The defense has already made some glaring mistakes…

1) Claiming that Casey was the perfect mom…always caring for Caylee. Yet, the defense is forgetting that Casey also regularly let her dad babysit Caylee. If he’s a sex abuser (which I don’t believe), then why would a perfect mom let an abuser watch her D all the time???

2) Claiming that Casey was so abused that she learned to always keep a 'good face on" which is why she didn’t look upset after Caylee died. YET…Casey has been crying in court everyday…so YES, she can show emotion when she’s upset. And, there are many jailhouse videoes of Casey screaming at her parents and being very emotional.

3) defense said to the jury…'You can end this nightmare and send Casey HOME." Uhh…if the defense thinks her home was a hotbed of disfunction and sexual abuse, why would he use THOSE words? Can you imagine a rape victim’s atty saying that his client needs to have her nightmare ended and be sent to the home of her rapist??? If Baez really thought her home was such a hellhole, he would have said something like…“You can end this nightmare and find Casey not guilty.”

4) The defense claims that Caylee drowned and then what? Who hid the body? George? Why would he do that?

If she drowned accidentally, how did the duct tape residue end up on her face/head?

Prediction: She will be found guilty.

It’s shocking that she would accuse her father of molesting her.

Well put. And very true.

If she drowned accidentally, how did the duct tape residue end up on her face/head?

exactly…

But, of course, the defense is likely going to claim that George put it on Caylee’s face so that if her body was found, it would look like a kidnapping with duct tape to keep her from screaming.

I think there’s something organically wrong with Casey’s brain. She has a long history of being a chronic liar–so much so, that she believes her own lies. She can totally disassociate herself from things–such as, dead daughter in her trunk, yet partying and hooking up with guys. She blames everyone else for her poor choices. She’s a manipulator. She’s a nut job.

The defense claims that her father said they had to cover up the drowning or they would spend the rest of their lives in jail. He is a former cop. There is no way he would think that. Unfortunately, there are swimming pool accidents with kids all the time. An elaborate cover up would not come to his mind.

If there were a cover up like that, they would have come up with a story together - not the lame story about the babysitter taking the child. Her parents were clearly not in on the cover up. The story has so many holes.
