You’re right. I was lucky. I don’t necessarily disagree with the court’s ruling; I just think it’s sad when kids don’t have loving grandparents in their lives, because it was such a good thing for me. But then, if you enforce visitation for grandparents, who else can demand visitation? Aunts? Second cousins?

And a socipath who murdered her kid goes free, despite an excellent effort by the prosecution. What the hell is wrong with that jury? And when will Casey be out partying again? Infuriating.

Wonder what happens now.
I don’t blame the jury. I’m sure they took their duty seriously. I was on a jury and we KNEW the jerk was guilty but unless it meets the letter of the law, you’re stuck. I just pray that no one gives her a second more attenion.

She was found not guilty of the lesser counts, too. I think keeping the jury sequestered for such a long time, including over the long weekend. made them resentful of the process and want to just get the hell out of there. There’s no way they could have even discussed the evidence, much less deliberated, in that amount of time. How shameful. And now we have a handy roadmap for the next parent who wants to be rid of their inconvenient child,
