Is the graphing calculator Casio fx-9750G calculator a disadvantage for math classes such as calculus? I know that most kids have the TI graphing calculators and that most teachers do their demonstations on TI-83 plus calculators. I’m a junior and I’m in precal now. I’m wondering if I should switch to a Texas instrument calculator for calculus next year.

The brand doesn’t matter as much as what it can do, and how well you know the calculator. If you’re taking the AP exam you need one with numerical integration. I used a scientific calculator up until the exam, then switched to the TI-83 after consulting classmates for the “integral” command." I did fine.

as long as it has all the features you need…it doesnt matter…however, chances are ur book is written for a TI calculator so u may have to scramble to “translate” directions for your calculator
