Has anyone tried a Casper? I don’t know whether to trust the online reviews.
I was in NYC for a business trip, and they had an actual store in the Oculus so I got to try it out. It felt really nice. They have good reviews on Consumet Reports.
I will never again buy a mattress online without first trying it out. We loved all the Saatva reviews and bought our mattress from them. But after the initial return period was over, we discovered that the mattress was, in fact, a canoe. So we wasted the money and are now shopping for a new mattress.
My husband and I bought a Layla mattress with two different firmness. One side is a Medium Soft firmness and the other side is Firm. We both love Tempurpedic mattresses and we found the firm side comparable. This is for a guest room but have slept on it several times. We are happy with the purchase but I am not sure I would by over the internet again without trying it out also especially if I will be the regular user.
There are Casper stores here in Toronto. I have never tried one but we have a family friend who is a professional athlete in town and he does their commercials here. From what I understand, he loves his.
My daughter bought one. She says it’s outstanding. At over $1,000, for years it was her most expensive piece of furniture
We did try the Casper. It is comfortable and did not have any chemical smell (a few reviews mentioned that). We did give it 24 hours after unwrapping the plastic to air out and expand. It was a full size for my S and he is happy with it.
Interesting how this thread was bumped up on the day Casper announced its IPO news… hmmm…
sorry @BunsenBurner - just a coincidence. I saw the news and it reminded me to go back to the thread. I swear I am not a plant for the company.
