Yesterday, the 18 year old black cat snuggled up next to me on the couch while I was knitting. For the longest while I thought she was purring for me (she is not a purr-er generally) and I was touched because I am having a bad stretch. But I realized finally, she wasn’t purring–she was snoring!
Older S has that (I think) for their dog. They brought it to our house once to try on the carpet. It didn’t get much, but we didn’t try it on the couch.
What I really need is a little chom chom, or one that bends.. We have an overstuffed sectional in the living room that the cats loves to sit on - on top. But all of the back cushions are attached to the back. And there’s this gap between the cushions, roughly 2" wide that I need to get in between and under the edges of the cushions. The chom chom just doesn’t get it well going sideways. Of course, the couch is > 20 years old and nobody sits on it really except them, so I probably should just give it up.
My cats are pigs! They can’t help themselves and pick up their food out of their bowls and drop them on the floor to eat! This is like the sloppy teenagers who have moved on - stop it!
D2’s one cat is like this. She picks up food in her mouth, but won’t eat it until she has dropped it on the floor!
This is Eddy. We are now empty nesters with our youngest in college (Jr). The kids thought it would be hilarious to get us a cat for Xmas. So we now have a cat. My wife and I have never had a cat or dog while we have been married.
I will say the cat has won the lottery. Has basically walked into a DINK situation.
Eddy is adorable!
One of mine is like that, too! Little piggy.
Eddy is actually saying that you’ve won the lottery! He’s very cute.
Eddy is adorable!
My cat (kitten really) has to stick his foot in the water to test it before he drinks it, pretty much every time. (Doesn’t he KNOW where that paw has been?!) My son’s cat does the same thing. They are both Bengals and like water.
Oh my, my Maine Coon used to drink with his paws. He’d stick his paws in the water bowl and like the water off. They are so funny. 2 of my cats (didn’t know each other 1 after the other died) scratch the wall and/or floor where they eat, like they are trying to bury their food. None of the other cats did that - what makes some do this and some don’t, so interesting.
I’ve been having fun with ChatGPT making me thinner, heavier, taller, shorter, different hairstyles, dressed in period clothing, lots of fun. The best one is me as an Elizabethan queen. Ha!
