Catholic at Protestant Colleges

How well do Catholics fit into non-Catholic Christian colleges. (Specifically Baylor and TCU)

Thanks!

They’re supposedly the second largest group at Baylor, so I imagine they ought to fit in fairly well there. I don’t know anything about TCU.

There are many “Christian” (read: Protestant based) colleges which resemble Catholic colleges in that they are no longer denomination-specific. There are some Christian colleges which no longer require chapel, have co-ed dorms, etc.

I know of a professor at a 2nd tier LAC who is a devout Catholic, attended U of Dallas undergrad, then went to Baylor for graduate school. She was in a wonderful Catholic Bible study and had an excellent experience.

Some Christian-based colleges have huge Catholic contingents. I believe at Grove City College, upwards of 40% of the student body is practicing Roman Catholic - very unusual for a school of that type (conservative Presbyterian). Some, Bob Jones U and others of that ilk, are definitely anti-Catholic and I assume any devout Catholic would be fairly uncomfortable there.

Like the poster above, I don’t know TCU well enough to comment.
