Persuading some readers to do something, Richard Conniff does something in his book.</p></li>
<li><p>Choice D: “to loose weight and make it permanent” - to make permanent what? weight which people have lost?

Pretty bad writing, by the way.
If weight is lost permanently there is no weight to keep off - permanently or otherwise.
“to loose weight and keep it off” is more better.:D</p>
