well juzmister

to tell you the truth, all the scanned essays look like that. no offense, but if the readers have trouble reading, it would be because of your handwriting. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t read a word.

Don’t bother to have it re-read, there’s nothing wrong with it.

most can read it and to be honest the original is perfectly legible…I think this is more an issue of rubbish scanners on the part of the college board.

maybe, my original papers seems fine but the scanned out looks like crap.

i think your missing the point, the readers get a scanned copy, not the original. Maybe its keeping you at the 1700?

im calling them now to get the forms; you can’t request a rescore over the phone.

but i still think it’s not worth the 50 bucks. what mistakes culd they make because of faulty scanning?

ok i called them again, it turns out that the readers read the original not the scanned copy…I got two different answers from two different people…I think ill get my school to clear this up when i get back

I thought I wrote neatly but my scan came out horrible as well.

juzmister, okay so there is no problem. no worries, they read the original

did you end up getting an ok score?

who me… NOOO! I got an 8!!!

ah well, im roughly on the cutoff for my course in Australia (commerce/law) I think ill just hope for the best

juzi, I agree, the scanned version is terrible, but so are most, actually. What was your score? Do you think a lower score resulted from this scan?

Then again, someone said the graders read the original anywayz, but I’ve heard different things.

i keep getting a different answer, its driving me crazy! I got an 8, and i think this score resulted from the scan. I recieved 10’s on the essays with my tutor and this essay seemed of equal quality…I need to get a straight answer from CB…Ill get my school to work it out when i get back

I’v called again, yet another different response. We have one of the admissions guys from princeton working at our school, i’ll ask him when i get back…

ok, so does anyone think its worth a rescore?

What’s your writing score at the moment? (I assume it’s less than 700 unless you did amazing on the MC). And where are you trying to get into? I heard a lot of schools don’t take it into account.

im going to Australia so they look at the aggregate of all the sections (2110 overall need a 2115 for my course). I got a 670 on the section (4 wrong)
