US universities allow only transfer of A level/ IB credits. But the CBSE curriculum’s syllabus covers most of the intro level courses such as Calc 1 and Calc 2. Is there any way I can request credits for these courses or do I have to still complete them?
It depends on the school.
If you are still matriculating at Purdue, you can ask to take a math placement test. If you score high enough, you can place out of those classes.
That’s a question for the university. In addition some universities also offer credit by exam.
I don’t need to take the math placement test as I have a high SAT Math score. I have my meeting with my advisor this week so we will have a discussion regarding this.
You can offer to take departmental exams in the subjects that you think would qualify.
Typically, only national or international exams that are externally scored qualify for credit (and not always).
