CC shirt!

I just don’t find the new version that different. The first few days, yes, because there were video ads covering more than half the page. I liked the left side menu on the old design a little better, but I can figure this out and it only takes a few seconds more.

I guess that’s why I’m getting a shirt!

I accepted, but I haven’t received mine yet. I never turn down free stuff when it doesn’t have strings attached. I ain’t that rich!

That’s what another message board does (yearly Amazon gift card for $10), and the poster doesn’t have to have a high number of posts to get the gift card.

I wouldn’t qualify as a high-volume poster on this board. No matter. I wouldn’t want a CC shirt, anyway, as I would consider it junk.

I haven’t received mine yet, but I appreciate the gesture. Nice comment, CTTC (not).

For those who want a shirt, but weren’t offered one, maybe they’ll have some shirts leftover after the first round offering and then dip down into the “middle class” of CC posters and have a secondary offering. For those that really want a t-shirt that says you’re a proud member of College Confidential. ?

Well, there’s quantity and there’s quality. Some people live on the boards, commenting on everything. Remember when everyone was liking each other just to get the count up so they had to stop it for a while? There were a lot of complaints recently about new posters doing too many posts. I’d hate to see the forums swamped by people trying to win prizes.

Trip A d v i s e r used to give good swag based on the number of reviews you did; never based on forum posts. We got luggage tags, one quart plastic bags for traveling with liquids, a baseball cap, and several canvas bags. Sometimes we take one of the bags on trips with the logo clearly displayed.

At the time, I actually offered mine up to whoever wanted it but that was at the time when most posters were irate at the website changes.

Well…thank you to CC for the shirt. I think it’s a nice gesture.

@HImom - I figured that if I got the sizing wrong, I can just turn it into a pillow to lean against when I’m posting from the iPad instead of the desktop.

I accepted it (haven’t received it) because I figured if it is soft and comfy, I’ve got another pajama t-shirt to wear to bed. Little did I know that this would be a controversial subject, with people making harsh comments about not being “in the cool crowd” because they didn’t get one, even though apparently most wouldn’t even be caught dead in something so junky.

did not accept the offer.

If anyone has a sighting of the CC pullover “in the wild” (not their own of course), let us know!

People being person and harsh being joking and most being one misquote.

Are you sure they didn’t offer tshirts only to people posting complaints in the complainy-pants thread?

Dang, and I was about to run out of toilet paper.

Got mine today. Thanks, CC. Y’all- this playground is optional. Yeah, we all hate the format and it limits what I see, but anyone is free to leave at any time.

Found out it’s not soft and comfy. Oh well, at least I didn’t pay for it.

Gift horse, people. Gift horse.

I keep looking at the thread title and keep thinking that there is no “r” in the word “shirt” - given the current crappy look of the forum… seems appropriate.

@Nrdsb4, if you think my comment was “harsh,” I’m guessing you haven’t read many posts around here
Hopefully others realized it was not meant as a serious comment. Rest assured whether I was offered a shirt or not has no impact on how I feel about “coolness” or this site.
