cc to nursing school?

is it possible to take nursing pre reqs at a community college then transfer to a nursing school

Depends upon the program. Some programs that are in high demand (such as Penn State) are not allowing any transfers, but you can do the first year at one of their branch campuses.

There are other nursing schools (such as Thomas Jefferson University in Phila.) that are a 2 year program, after you finish 2 years somewhere else.

Most of the time you can, unless the college has a "direct entry" nursing program. For non direct entry state colleges and universities, they usually let you know specifically which classes you need to take at your local cc.

You can also attend a CC to become an RN. After completing the program, you can then continue on to a university to earn a BSN. My daughter is doing this and it was much, much less expensive to go to school for a nursing degree this way.

Also. you should know that it can be harder to get into the CC nursing programs than into the 4 year college programs.
