cell phone #s

i want to get a new phone and sell my old one to my sister. can i keep my old cell phone NUMBER and then my sister gets a new number? thanks!

Hmmm… You can transfer your phone number from one phone to another easily… I am assuming if you take your old phone into a place and ask it to be incorporated with a new one, I am assuming they can do that (Just has to be the same carrier)
It would be the easiest if you had a SIM carrier then all you have to do is play with the little cards…
Just so you know you’ll have to pay an activation fee for both you and your sister (and you yourself have to be 18+)

both the phones use pre-paid phone cards. but one is t-mobile and the other will be verizon wireless (the new one). why do we need to pay an activation fee? thanks!

Hmmm… I am not sure with prepaid phones then…

do u have a sim card?

yes i think so^

if you have a sim card, you should just be able to transfer it to the new phone. THen you’ll have all the data you stored on your sim card (incl. your number), in your new phone.

really??? even if you have tmobile for one fone and verizon for the other?

what does the “99 cents a day access fee” mean? does it mean that every day its 99 cents to just access ur phone and then u have to pay 10 cents for each minute u use? thanks!

Yeah, I think it does. Also, I’m not sure about being able to just switch the SIM cards, because the phone would need to be unlocked. If you just buy a regular phone, chances are its a locked phone and will only work with that provider.
