<p>I’m heading to UT Austin for 2010 and was looking for any advice on what cellphone plans would suit. I’m only in the US for 12 months and most companies seem to have 24 month minimums on their plans.

<p>Yeah, check our Virgin Mobile. They’re really pleasant to work with, and they have a bunch of plans that could suit you. I believe they even offer 1-year plans, in addition to monthly plans (that differ from prepaid in that you have a legitimate plan, just without the time commitment. So it’s like you’re renewing your plan at the end of each month, if that makes sense.).</p>
