One of DD’s professor asked the class to subscribe to cengage, it is $90 per semester. I have no idea what cengage is. I searched the site and could not find other books that may be useful. It seems to be expensive to pay for a book that we cannot keep.
DD has to log onto cengage to submit her homework, hence it seems that we have no other option. But it seems that cengage has webassign.
My other DD in a different college told me she needs to purchase webassign for her homework, she is currently using a trial version, is it possible to subscribe to one cengage account, but two person from the same family but attending different colleges to share the account for their homework?
I don’t believe you can share accounts.
Most of these platforms seem to be course specific. You are enrolled in a course and have some kind of access code in order to use the webassign. Since each DD is enrolled in a separate course at a separate school, it seems unlikely that they could share the same account.
Family member teaches courses. Each student has their own access codes…can’t share. These are used to send homework and papers, etc. how would the instructor know one student’s work from the other if they shared?
thanks.
Cenage Unlimited is new this year. There is a 2 yr introductory pricing that we bought and we are hoping will pay off. If it is a multi course, like Calculus, the 2yr unlimited is worth investigating.
Many courses have a required code to purchase for homework and exams. No way around it. No way to share. I don’t think a student can use the code for two classes either, unless as @Longhaul said it is an unlimited subscription.
^^based on the discussion earlier, I would assume that students cannot share the access even with unlimited subscription. They have a two year unlimited subscription of $239. a one semester unlimited subscription is $119.
