I was wondering if anyone had any information on the Centennial 1 Complex. I will be living there freshman year and wanted to know how it was like living there (did you like it, was it fun, etc.). This is because I’ve heard many stories about Richards and M&M but never the Cents.

Hi lehighu2017. Unfortunately, I don’t have any specific info on Upper Cents, but what have you heard about M&M, where my son will be rooming this fall?

M&M is a bit further up the hill but more centrally located in the campus from what I recall. Great looking building. Its actual the building my son wanted but he landed in Cent 2.

When I went to Lehigh many eons ago, I lived in right next door to M&M in Taylor, which at the time was an all-male freshman dorm (and believe me, it was a dump by today’s standards). M&M is ideally situated for access to the Hill, which is great if your son will spend a lot of time at the fraternities. It is also convenient to the UC, which contains one of the two dining halls. Otherwise, it is actually a bit further from most classroom buildings, which are located toward lower campus, and is a bit of a hike to the Business school, located at the northeast corner of campus. The walk downhill to class is never a problem, it is the hike back up that takes longer. Although off to the side, the Cents aren’t quite as far up hill, and are probably closer to most classroom buildings. And by closer, I’m talking a few minutes walk at most - Lehigh’s campus is a nice size, but it’s not huge. All dorms have pluses and minuses, and your son will have a great time wherever he is. And with all the hills and steps, I guarantee you he will be in great shape!
