Central Texas flooding Memorial Day weekend

Was in Dallas Thursday night and it was pretty scary…and I live in the lightning capital of the country!

Looks like parts of Texas are about to get nailed again:

We’ll be fine. My area got 11" over memorial day evening, but almost none since then. Just don’t tell the local media. They’re already dusting their mantles in preparation for Emmy’s for dramatic weather coverage!

Good grief! Now tropical storm Bill is going to dump even more rain on central Texas! Does this mean we will be officially out of the drought?

We here in the Chicago area have been having nothing but rain, either, and they are telling us Bill is moisture laden and will eventually arrive here.

Stay safe!

Parts of Central Texas are out of the drought, I believe, but they are leaving Stage 2 watering restrictions in place. The lakes certainly are doing so much better. I wish I had the French drain concession in my neighborhood; everyone is getting them. Had a long talk yesterday with a neighbor about her system.
