Ceramic Engineering?

I’m going to be a freshman at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Formerly known as University of Missouri - Rolla) this fall as a Biochemistry Major. But lately I’ve been thinking about switching to engineering, specifically Ceramic Engineering ( The Materials Science and Engineering Department is split up into Ceramic and Metallurgical engineering) . What do you think about Ceramic Engineering? Are there good job opportunities although it is a small field? Is it worth getting into or should I stick with Biochemistry? The Materials Science and Engineering department also boasts about a graduate program in Bio-materials. Bio-materials sounds really interesting to me, but can I eventually get a job working with Bio-materials with an undergraduate degree in Ceramic Engineering and some graduate school?
