Certiphi for US colleges

<p>I have been accepted as transfer student to number of US colleges.</p>

<p>Few of them require background check through Certiphi. Since I am not in US, I heard it cost more for me.</p>

<p>Any body have experience this? Will I need to get police clearance from international company where I live?</p>
