I am looking at this for a gift for my parents. Does anyone have one? Like it? Don’t like it?

What a great idea! Last Christmas I gave a regular digital frame to my mom, with a 1gb memory stick loaded with about 250 pictures. I know she uses it, but I doubt that my folks have ever updated it with additional pictures. Having one connected to the internet that I could add pics to would be very cool. I hope someone who has one will respond to your question, because now I’m interested too.

well, my parents don’t have internet at all, and most of the frames I have seen have had some networking capability, maybe not from the internet but from the LAN. I want to get one that will take a memory card/stick and then I’ll just swap them and updated one at intervals. Does anyone have a recommendation for one with large memory card capacity, decent resolution, and decent size screen? Do any exist without networking? since I don’t need this feature I hope there would be some cheaper options.

(sorry to invade your thread, ebeeeee)

No problem. The one a I was looking at has a memory card. I’ll try to post a link to a review of it. If it doesn’t come up PM me.

You don’t have to pay for the internet plan if you don’t want it.

Most of these wifi [digital frames](<a href=“http://www.e-bowl.co.uk/category/222"]digital”>http://www.e-bowl.co.uk/category/222) are real pain to configure they have a poor UI and it is not suitable to give it to grand parents or technopobes

I gave a Ceiva Share frame to my mom for Christmas and got a Life frame for myself. She loves it! They’re great for people who don’t have any internet access or don’t know how to deal with gadgets/tech stuff. I set hers up for her before giving it to her. It’s really easy to set up. She doesn’t need internet to use the frame because she connects it to her phone line (I connect mine by wi-fi). I manage her account for her online. I upload pics with the iPhoto plugin since I have a MacBook. There are a bunch of ways to upload photos online. Then they go to the frame when it connects. You can also email photos and send them from your phone, which is pretty cool. There is a monthly fee but a year came included when I bought it from the website [CEIVA - The Inventors of the Connected Digital Photo Frame](http://www.ceiva.com). You can get a Life without any monthly plans if you want too.
