Marching band will help you IF you are accepted to their program.

My guess is you’ll get into a regional/branch campus. Your gpa kills you.

You’ll get in…OSU is not difficult to get into…it is the 2nd largest school in the US, so they accept almost EVERYONE!

Well, as a comparison…I have a 3.995 GPA, sec of student council, NROTC…29 ACT and I got in (honors and scholars too). Don’t worry. I’d say you’re fine with that 1200. That’s roughly equivalent to a 27 or 28 on the ACT which is good. Your GPA may be your downfall though. That shows a lack of commitment to doing work and the like, while your SAT scores clearly indicate you have a lot of potential.

Best of luck!

uhh… from what i hear, there the LARGEST school in the US. anyway, i think you have a pretty good shot. your essays need to be really strong though, and stay really active in talking to the committee if this is where you’re sure you wanna go. GPA really doesn’t mean that much if everything else seems strong. take challenging courses your senior year, and make sure you continue to put forth some effort in high school. by the way. my GPA was barely a 3.0, 2.7 not including my senior year first semester grades (straight A’s.) if you’re looking to get into honors, i’d say, no. but if you want regular admission, you should be fine. but still, try to raise your gpa, because right now it looks like your tapping into your potential, and schools tend to like that.
