tbh i need college recommendations i am undeclared major but interested in journalism, photography, multimedia, and a strong overall academic school

SORRY THIS IS VAGUE

NYU - match
UCLA - match (since your in state though this year they were wierd when they rejected their own regent scholarship students)
UCBerkeley - match (since your in state)
Northwestern - match
USC - reach since they are harder for students who can’t afford them. if you got the money then its probably a match
Columbia - High Reach. Try getting more ECs or Awards (maybe in film or photography since you seem interested in that)

bump bump =[

Cal and UCLA (matches in your opinoin) are better institutions than USC yet USC is a reach?

Jamesford: yea because in the hs i went(also a top cali school) had 1 in like 6 students going to Cal or Berkeley (there were students who got in and didn’t go) but USC rejected more students. This usually was because Cal and Berkeley looked less on California student’s extracurriculars and more on their GPAs, which is what is happening with this guy. While for USC is a private school, and will pay more attention to extracurricular. Plus Cal and UCLA don’t have letter of recs, while USC does. Currently he matches for any UC but he’s at a disadvantage for privates because he doesn’t have enough extracurricular and probably not a stellar letter of rec either.
