I also agree that this is a good plan.
The original post said that @Papag is from New Hampshire. I think that they should also contact UNH and see if something is possible there.
At this point I would forget about Stanford. The rest of this list (with the exception of Chapman and U.Miami which I do not know at all) all seem unlikely for both admissions and affordability.
I am finding myself wondering whether if OP returns to ASU or UNH and does really, really well, whether one of these reach schools might be possible for graduate work, if graduate work ever comes up as an option. This would be a thought for way off in the future however.
