So what do you guys think huh. Am my predictions correct? Give it a best shot.

■■■■■…

why would this guy be a ■■■■■? really high reaches for HYPS, reaches for UCB and Cornell.

you need some Matches…

SAT scores kind of low and EC’s sort of scattered…chances pretty much like you said.
but aim for 800’s on Math SAT II’s since you seem to be good at math; AP Calc BC in 8th grade.

lol wow…you seem very math oriented…you should’ve entered some math competitions or are there some more awards we don’t know about? as of now though, everything is a reach except for your listed safeties and maybe berkeley if you’re in state but even then it would at least be a high match if not a reach.

Yes blu_g8orade I have no idea of why you would think I am a ■■■■■. Anyway thanks for the responses. FYI I believe Rice to be my Match. And I am also out of state for Berkely. I’m actually in Washington. So that might jeopardize my chances.

not too shaby of a vertical. My highest vertical used to be 31 inches too , but lets just say junior year played a toll on my health. I jump like 29 inches now. i am indian btw.

You probably need a few more inches to dunk because raising a basketball makes you lose a few inches. I think that the SATs are too low.

Your predictions are spot on but I think you need to work on your form for your vertical leap. Try doing a vertical leap program involving weights since you are a two footed jumper!

@Volleyball I will try to raise those SAT scores

@jakezhang Thanks for the tip. I haven’t really been practicing jumping but I’ll get back on it as soon as college apps on done. Are you asian as well?

Hey, don’t do vertical programs. Start with core strength training. Make sure you can squat 10 reps of 1.5x your weight. Calf raises, lunges, hamstring machines will all contribute to your vertical jump Then start plyometrics exercises with weightlifting. You’ll see improvement in the end.

okay guys thanks for the vert. input. Any more input on college chances?

You are not a match for Rice, it’s a reach. Your SAT and SAT II in chemistry is below average for Rice.

oh well Rice sent me a free application so I thought it might be a match. IDK

Your predictions seem pretty accurate, go find some matches though, unless you’re satisfied with Tulane or UW.

u hav a lot of skls in top ten… take some off, and get more matches

so you guys have any matches in mind?
btw I would just go the University of Washington if all other good schools reject me.

haha Im 6’ 1" and I can dunk. Do weighted squats and lunges along with plyometrics. I also would do three sets of five all-out jumps whilst holding two 20-30 pound dumbbells; and I saw improvement rather fast. Jumping technique is also crucial to maximize your vertical, there are many sites online that teach proper technique (it is not intuitive, I would master technique before you begin/continue your physical training).

As for college chances, your Gpa looks fine but you should improve your SAT scores. Based on your academic background, it is likely that you did very well on the Math portion of the SAT. This means that your score must be lopsided; you are going to need decent subscores on CR and Writing. If you have an 800 on math and can manage to get the other two to 700ish, you will be competitive.
