Yeah I get that. It’s just that my parents have always had very high expectations of me, especially when it comes to school performance and academics, and they spent a lot of money and their own time to send me to a very competitive private school. At this school especially, my GPA is not in the top percentiles (even though there is no class rank or percentiles reported to colleges) and it gets very competitive, and my college counselor basically said the same thing. He said its a “competitive GPA", but top schools would ideally like to see straight As, especially from my school.
Sounds like a school with lots of grade inflation. Hopefully your parents wanted you challenged and learning more than grades.
You’ll be fine other than you have too many schools on your list and will likely overstress. So figure out which safeties you like more than the reaches and cull the reaches.
The UC app, as an example, unless you are seriously open to it, is a ton of work. If you’re going to choose IU over them, then I wouldn’t do etc.
However you decide, I’d do less but up to you. Some can handle but most can’t you still have school and being a kid too.
Good luck.
