As an additional reach, perhaps consider Yale:

You will find potential matches included in this article as well.

Yiur odds aren’t great because they aren’t for anyone at Harvard.

Lots of great schools for writing that aren’t Harvard such as Sewanee, Oberlin, and Iowa.

Find the right program, not the famous name.

For additional specific ideas, look into Kenyon, long-established for the study of English literature, with prominent alumni authors to its credit; Vassar, for its literature programs and connections to New York City; Wesleyan, for its nationally respected film program and literary attributes; and Hamilton, for writing and public policy / environmental policy.

Amy B. Bloom - Faculty, Wesleyan University

I was going to say Kenyon, maybe Sarah Lawrence or Bennington for writing. Vassar is a good suggestion too. Among Ivies, I like Brown for creatives.

You certainly have a shot at Harvard et al so sure go ahead apply. It helps to know that admissions is about assembling an interesting class, not some hierarchical exercise in who is the smartest

Since you have an interest in Harvard, note that it appears in this article on literary colleges with other potential suggestions:

And I will add my own go-to list for creative writing, especially since you have attended one of the programs by Adroit:

First, I would recommend that you replace Harvard with Princeton or UPenn, as your Lottery Ticket.

Your chances for being accepted to either of them, or Harvard, are tiny, but just because there are another couple of thousand of applicants like you, and they will only accept around 5% of them.

However, what are you looking for in a college, besides an excellent program in English and creative writing? What do you prefer for size, location, culture?
