Chance a First Gen w/ low GPA but great leadership?

<p>Some of this is pure estimation. I’m just curious to see if I should bother applying seeing that GPA is all that matters.</p>

<p>What are your SAT and/or ACT scores? What portion of your statistics is “pure estimation”? Stanford absolutely does not just consider an applicant’s grades.</p>

<p>SAT and ACT are estimated. I took the PSAT and scored a 235 (out of 240). I took the PLAN and scored a 32 (out of 32).</p>

<p>Depends on where you rank in your school.</p>

<p>AustroHungarian is absolutely correct. It also depends on your SAT or ACT scores, how GPA scores are weighted in your school, if you are an ORM, (Asian), and the quality of your application essays.</p>

<p>With a 235 PSAT score in your junior year, you should be a NMSF. Keep in mind that a 235 doesn’t necessarily correlate to 2350 on the actual SAT. You need to also take at least 2 SAT II tests unless you are submitting ACT scores, if I am not mistaken. I would also recommend being really involved in a few of your EC’s to show your long-term passion for something.</p>
