Chance a First Generation Hispanic Student

Hi!
I applied to Northeastern University early decision and was wondering if people could please chance me?
My stats:
ACT- 26 (only sent those)
GPA: 3.67

I am a first generation college student and I am also Hispanic.

My essay is about my relationship with my dad, but its unique in the fact that we haven’t spoken in 4 years. I wrote about how that changed me as a person and how it DRASTICALLY influenced my life. However, instead of only focusing on the negative things about my father, I wrote about the good, positive things that came out of the relationship, such as higher self-esteem, knowing i can do anything I can set my mind too, etc. I made it very personal and I really liked the finished product.

My recommendations are from my AP psychology teacher ( which is my intended major-psych) and my math teacher. I chose my psych teacher for obvious reasons but I chose my math teacher because she saw how much potential I had and how determined I was to accomplish anything. I was in her basic math class and I always struggled with math, since freshman year. However, I was able to show her that I have a good work ethic and she recommended me for AP stats, which I am currently taking.

PLEASE ME BRUTALLY HONEST WITH ME!

Oops, I meant early action*

I think you have a good shot. Looks to me like a match school for you, if not a little bit of a reach. Your honors and AP classes, as well as the diversity of subjects and EC work, will play well for you. If you applied early action, you’ll know before New Years, so come back and update us.

My daughter is a freshman and loves it there. I think you will see NU continue to rise in the US News and World Report rankings. They’ve gone from the hundreds, to 80 last year, to 69 this year. They are pouring on the development and have added a four-year co-op to their traditional five-year co-op.
