Please chance my friend for Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford.

Race: Asian
Gender: Female
SAT: 2160 (790 writing, 680 math, 690 reading)
SAT 2: 800 math 2, 750 physics, 740 math 1
AP: 5 BC Calc, 5 Physics B
Senior Yr: AP PHYSICS C, AP GOVERNMENT, AP MICROECONOMICS, AP ENGLISH LITERATURE, AP STATISTICS
GPA: 97.05
Rank: 16/790
Essays: Overcoming struggle with Albinism…Very powerful
EC: tons of EC’s with leadership positions in creative writing clubs, SING (acting), and Physics Club President … etc
Teacher Recommendations: pretty much perfect. Teachers talked about her rebellious nature, and how she is, in every way, an inspirational student.

SAT scores a little low for an Asian
Also, stereotypically not normal that your math I score is so low (but math II! :0)
But, stereotypically not normal that your major ECs are writing and singing, so that’s good

Hopefully you wrote a good essay and your ECs are top notch → that’ll push you in despite slightly lower scores

ok…since nobody seems to have replied…I’ll pretend to play the wise guy for a bit…

SATs seem too low for an Asian (as I have gathered from my fellow CC-ers), rank seems a bit too low too…ECs seem well-rounded, but anything particularly stand-out great? (Can’t tell with your description)

Anyways, I don’t think anyone can chance someone properly based on numbers. So all I can say is, if your friend has got something extremely strong and powerful, like say that essay and ECs in her applicatiom, she could just make the cut. Doesn’t hurt to apply, as long as you’re realistic about your chances (cuz otherwise its just disappointing yourself)…so I’d give H shot if I were her.

So well, good luck! Hope this was of any help.

She’s an Albino Asian? o.o
Anyways, I don’t understand the correlation between the 680 SAT Math and the 800 Math II score, but I hope the admissions committee will.
Also, the SAT score is still over the “minimum” 2100 cut. Who knows?

Um, I’m not sure if she had a bad test day or not. She received a likely for Cornell though (she is a woman in engineering). She wants to major in engineering and astrophysics. I know her test scores are not high; that’s why she is scared.
